The Vision of Our Department

Our vision for the Department of Biology Education is to cultivate educators who possess strong subject knowledge and pedagogical expertise, are critical thinkers, self-confident, and equipped with universal teaching competencies.

Students in the Department of Biology Education graduate as "Biology Teachers" for secondary education (Grades 9-12) within four years.

On average, approximately 20 students are admitted to the Biology Education program each year.

Master's and Doctoral Programs

The Department offers Master's and Doctoral programs designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of biology educators in the areas of biology, biology teaching, and education research. Prospective Master's and Doctoral students are expected to have a background in biology and/or biology education, teaching experience, and proficiency in a foreign language sufficient for conducting research.

The goal of the Doctoral program is to specialize in Biology Education and train researchers who aspire to become academic staff at universities.

Graduate Titles, Fields of Work, and Success Stories

Our students have the opportunity to work as biology teachers in both private and public educational institutions under the Ministry of National Education. Additionally, they can pursue academic careers in the fields of Biology, Biology Education, and Science Education.

A significant portion of our annual graduates find opportunities for academic careers in various fields such as biology education, botany, pharmacy, biochemistry, anatomy, both domestically and abroad.
